Phoenix stopped by The Alternate Side to perform their current monster single "Lisztomania," a perfect slice of New Wave pop, acoustic. I was skeptical that frontman Thomas Mars and guitarist Christian Mazzalai could make the song work without its synth blasts, but Mars' voice is the emotional thrust of the original, so it kind of works in this bare bones manner.
