Phoenix may have other projects in the works—notably that sountrack to the new Sophia Coppola movie—but they are still undertaking duties to squeeze a few more sales out of Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. Chief among those is this performance of “Lasso” and “1901” on the huge outdoor stage for Jimmy Kimmel’s show last night (Sept. 20).
These are tight and spirited versions of these songs, although it’s likely that the band is ready to move onto other pastures pretty soon. As a kiss-off to the Wolfgang era, they are offering free downloads of the stems from songs from the album here, which allows fans to cook up their own remixes of Phoenix tracks and spread them wide over the Internet.
