Anglo synth-rockers The Teenagers' take on Phoenix's "1901" isn't really a huge seachange as far as remixes go. The Teenagers keep Thomas Mars' vocals intact for the most part, and the song's structure generally stays the same. However, the song's other elements are switched out in favor of more Teenagers-friendly synths and a steady bass line. If you count a remix as successful if it makes it sound as if the remixers could be the original creators of the song, The Teenagers manage that effect in just under two and a half minutes.
