Phoenix

"1901" (Live on Conan) (Video)

Phoenix brought their pop-rock sound to Conan O’Brien’s show last night (Sept. 15), where they performed the signature tune from Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, “1901.” The album was allegedly created using Brian Eno’s Oblique Strategies cards, which have also inspired Coldplay and U2.

This performance is tight and together, as you would expect from a band that has spent a vast stretch of 2009 on the road to promote the album. That touring is set to continue in the U.S on a string of sold out dates that end with a show in Austin, Texas, on Oct. 2.

Yep! Better than some other vids I've seen of them live. I can't believe the drummer is wearing what appears to be a leather jacket, though!
