"1901" (Live on Carson Daly) (Video)

Phoenix showed up on Carson Daly’s show on Wednesday (Oct. 14), where they repeated a trick from other late night talk shows by performing “1901” from Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. The album currently stands at number 3 on Prefix’s Best of 2009 chart, which you can influence by voting here.

 

This odd clip is part documentary, part performance film, with an intro to the song providing late night TV viewers with a brief history of the band. The live video is impressively shot, and “1901” is delivered before a packed crowd of expectant Phoenix fans at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles.
