TV on the Radio might rapidly consider a new direction once they get wind of this cover of “Golden Age” by Phish. The band played in Albany, New York, on Nov. 27, where they delivered a version of the song—it’s even available to purchase for a mere 99 cents from this website.
This video only shows a brief clip of the "Golden Age," which stretches to over nine minutes on the MP3 file. In other words, expect a guitar solo or two to crop up somewhere in the Phish version. Surprisingly, this brief clip doesn’t sound particularly different to the original, although there is a hint that it's about to descend into something quite horrible at the end.
Phish does some Great covers! TV on the Radio should be honored!
