Pharoahe Monch

"Simon Says" (Live at Pitchfork Festival) (Video)

Pharoahe Monch was one of the few hip-hop acts at Pitchfork Festival this year, and reportedly the most awesome, doing a high-energy set with a group of hypemen. Here's a video of him Monch doing arguably his biggest song, 1999's "Simon Says" from Internal Affairs.

Monch reportedly has a new album, W.A.R. (We Are Renegades), due out later this year. [Pitchfork]

It's a 10-year-old song, sure, and it's Pitchfork, but does it look like anyone in the crowd knows it?

That big bearded dude looks like he does. I hated the chicks near the front who kept looking around like, "I can't believe I'm throwing my arm up and doing this to a rap song. Sooooooo ironic."
