In case you forgot or just plumb didn't know, Pharoahe Monch finally released his third solo album, W.A.R. (We Are Renegades), earlier this year. And yes, it's a pretty damn solid affair, particularly the singles he has chosen for the record like "Clap (One Day)" and "Black Hand Side." He just released the visuals for the latter track today, which features a guest verse from Styles P and some crooning from Phonte on the chorus.
I know, I know. It would have been great if Phonte rapped on here, too, but hey, dude can carry a melody like singing was his first calling. Also, it's not like Pharoahe and P don't hold their own anyway. They all appear in the above visuals, which are super-sharp and almost as cinematic as those for "Clap (One Day)." "Black Hand Side" isn't quite a short film, but it remains heavy on the overarching narrative heard throughout the track's lyrics.
