
Peter Gabriel appeared on David Letterman’s show last night, in what must be one of the biggest musical productions on late night TV this year. The former Genesis singer is here to promote an album of orchestral reworkings of his old songs titled New Blood, and he plucked the classic So cut “Red Rain” for this performance. It’s a totally different version to the original, with the string section lending a heavier atmosphere to the song and various other instruments coming in and out of the mix at appropriate moments.
