Peter Bjorn and John: "Second Chance"
Even if they release another 15 albums, all anyone really wants from Peter Bjorn and John is another "Young Folks." After their less cutesy album Living Thing didn't deliver that, the dudes got back into their old tricks for Gimme Some, the spiritual successor to Writer's Block. The first single from the album, "Second Chance" is about as close to "Young Folks 2.0" PB&J have gotten thus far, with its wordless refrain and multiple hooks (that ripping guitar towards the end that sounds borrowed from Warrant especially) and easily hummable chorus. Look out, TV music supervisors. Your job just got easier. Stream the track at Stereogum.
Gimme Some is due out on March 29.
