March 29 is the release date for the new Peter Bjorn and John album Gimme Some, but they’re already in North America working up the anticipation for it. The group appeared on Conan O’Brien’s show last night (Feb. 1) where they performed this version of “Second Chance.” This demonstrates their ear for subtle pop melodies and spare, slightly funky grooves matched with a few classic rock moves, all shot through with glorious falsetto vocals. This isn’t likely to shake the “Young Folks” albatross from their backs, but it’s unlikely that the affable Peter Bjorn and John care too much about that.
