Pete Yorn’s “American Blues Vol. 1” is like a gruffer School House Rock episode—it runs down the abundant piles of shit that have been hitting the fan lately (like gas prices, economic downturn, house foreclosures, food crisis, nuclear proliferation, and increasing unemployment) and sets it to a simple rock song structure. I’m not sure I’d go to Yorn for my political lessons, but at least his heart’s in it. He urges viewers to vote at the end of the clip, so yeah, go vote. The election is important, and stuff.
