Pete Rock, Smif N Wessun: "That's Hard" f. Styles P & Sean Price
"That's Hard" is a New York City rap party if I have ever heard one. The track appears on Pete Rock and Smif N Wessun's forthcoming collaborative project, Monumental, which drops late next month. And the very fact that Pete's collaborating with Tek and Steele would have been enough. But they reached out to Styles P and Sean Price to fill out "That's Hard," which is easily one of the, well, hardest tracks that has dropped so far this year. From the strings-laden beat to the grimy-as-fuck verses, everything here is pure gutter-rap. The only question is: Who had the best verse? Sean P gets my vote.
