Pet Shop Boys: "All Over the World" (Video)

The Pet Shop Boys confirmed their status as one of the most inventive pop bands in the world with this year’s Yes. The record was promoted by an elaborate tour, which bore a cube theme, included numerous dancers and projections, and confirmed that the once stage-shy Boys have become consummate performers.

This video for “All Over the World” offers a glimpse of the show, and is taken from the band’s Christmas EP, which features—irk!—a cover of Coldplay’s “Viva la Vida.” Fortunately, the cover is in line with their treatment of U2’s “Where the Streets Have No Name,” although their bid to top the charts at Christmas in the U.K. may well be thwarted.
