“People Are The Same Everywhere” (Live On Conan) (Video)

    We’re still waiting for Morrissey’s tenth solo album to surface, but a few tracks from it were played on a recent BBC session, including “People Are the Same Everywhere.” That song was performed by the former Smiths singer on Conan O’Brien’s show last night, during a stop-off during his current North American tour. Morrissey might have more pressing concerns on his mind at present, but he still puts everything into this performance, which is full of the kind of stodgy riffage that much of his solo material bears. That famous quiff may be almost entirely grey now, but that doesn’t stop him from delivering this song with aplomb, including a vicious growl two-thirds of the way through. Check it out below.
