Shot in the tranquil Angeles Crest Forest and atop the desolate rooftops of downtown L.A., this video for Pelican’s “Lost In the Headlights” (from their boss City of Echoes album) follows the song’s dynamic flow nicely. It’s a clear homage to Pelican’s last video, for “Dead Between the Walls,” which also found the band rockin’ in the natural environment; the quaint domestic scene at the beginning even shows said video on the telly. For those of you startled by the acting prowess of that auburn-bearded hippie that keeps showing up and trying to join the band: that’s Hydra Head Records GM Mark Thompson, and he’s currently looking for acting work.
