I have a theory that buried in the fine print of every metal band's record contract is a line about how at least one of their videos must feature clips of a harsh landscape at some point. For Pelican, their contractual obligation filling is in the video for "Final Breath" that starts in the Shire and moves into a tunnel of increasingly biological-looking depths. Then back to the Shire for some rocking. This almost ends up looking like a parody of those movie scenes where they go down into some hidden tunnel, since it goes on for so long. [Pitchfork]
