On Oct. 10, Fat Possum is issuing a split single featuring a song from Purity Ring. But the B-Side is what intrigues us: It’s “Peach Wedding,” the first new material we’ve heard from one of our favorites, Montreal’s Braids. It’s got a typically hazy backdrop, and Braids’ uproarious group vocals, before it breaks down into a noise sketch at the end. It’s not going to make you forget “Plath Heart,” but it’s damn fine all the same. You can hear the song at Pitchfork.
