Patrick Wolf’s long awaited follow-up to his Battle album is almost upon us, albeit with a name change from The Conqueror—“I’ve grown up alot from that battle aggression,” he posted on Twitter back in August. This video from that record for “Time of My Life” is what Wolf calls “just a little lyric video for youtube made in my kitchen,” and almost entirely consists of clock hands turning. But the good news is: the song is a pop triumph, full of Scott Walker style melodrama and Wolf crooning that he’s “happy without you” over bittersweet strings. Hurrah!
