Over the past few years, like-minded soul-leaning artists Theophilus London and Jesse Boykins III have recorded a slew of burners the world might not be terribly familiar with. That could be because while London’s blown up as of late with his Timez Are Weird These Days debut, sweet-voiced Boykins (and his great hair) has been slept-on by a lot of folks.
Recognizing that fact was Steve-Ography, a photographer with ties to Smoke DZA and Big K.R.I.T. who has a love for London and Boykins’ collaborations. And rather than just sit on the tracks, Steve put together the 13-track Paris96 mixtape. While it includes guests such as Blu and MeLo-X along with a slick remix by Machinedrum, the focus here remains on the rapper-crooner duo.
