Parenthetical Girls are known for taking some wonderful left turns in their career—including a 10-inch vinyl only tribute to Ivor Cutler and the release of the Privilege album as a series of limited edition 7-inch singles. Here, they perform a new song titled “The Common Touch,” which was filmed in someone’s kitchen.
The setting suites them just fine, and singer Zac Pennington is clearly enjoying wandering around the room and flexing his falsetto as the song progresses. The sound mix might be a little lopsided at times, but it scarcely matters, as Parenthetical Girls’ brand of kitchen sink drama (forgive the pun) has found its natural home here.

The video was filmed inside Zac Pennington's house.
