I'm told by my trusted pop-punk source (my 19-year-old sister) that Paramore almost broke up last year, but now with their new album, Brand New Eyes, they're like a real band again. Whatever the hell that's supposed to mean. They certainly are back to performing together in a room, as they do in the video for their new single "Ignorance," which is apparently, as the chorus goes, your new best friend. Lead singer Hayley Williams does some weird choreography with a lightbulb while the dudes in her band rock out, which maybe means something but probably doesn't.

This is going to be huge with the same army of teenage girls that made Twilight a hit. Personally, I liked this band better when they were called Be Your Own Pet and they didn't stink. 

Brand New Eyes is due out on Sept. 29 via Fueled by Ramen.[MTV]
