With holes in their sweaters and grass in their hair, Papercuts have returned with a new track called "Do What You Will." Taken off their forthcoming LP Fading Parade, the track is a lush, spacious affair suggesting that the Northern California outfit has been quietly putting away those folk-tendencies in place of some lightly, reverb-laden shoegaze. The track is not a huge departure, though, for we still get Jason Robert Quever's breathy vocal offerings and enough plug-less, organic instrumentation to still please the residences of most Vegan co-ops.
Don't worry kids, Papercuts is still most likely to appear on stage with oatmeal stains than Jesus and The Mary Chain-esque leather jackets.
Fading Parade is due out March 1 via Sub Pop
