Maybe it's something in Flosstradamus' Chicago roots that inclined them to turn "Rollin" into juke music, but that is certainly what they've done. The original track is a laid-back, lyrics-centric piece, but Flosstradamus injects the adrenaline into it, replacing the original's handclaps with much busier snares, and some swirly synths on top. Paper Route Gangstaz Fear and Loathing in Hunts Vegas dropped yesterday, and while this remix isn't on it, you will find more worthy lyrics like "Rollin' on the river got the dro' and the liquor/at the store get the Swisher, Tropicana and a Twister." So for all of you 7-Eleven attendants who've wondered why 4 guys with dreadlocks wander into your store at 2 in the morning to buy a single Swisher Sweets, this mixtape could be a learning experience for you. Loving this beat.
