Panda Bear: "Alsatian Darn" (Live At P4K)
The general consensus on Panda Bear's set at this weekend's Pitchfork Fest was that it was a total snoozer. Our own Bob Marshall said, "you can bet people will pass out waiting for the day's headliner due to Panda Bear's dull set across the field rather than heat exhaustion." And unsurprisingly, the footage/MP3s coming from said set are pretty sleepy too: Stereogum has a rup of "Alsatian Darn" a hazy track that is mostly just moaning and a sampler. Then again, most of Panda Bear's solo material can be described like that, but this never really goes anywhere like the stuff on Person Pitch did. Listen over at Stereogum.
