Pac Div: "Take Me High"
I was waiting for Pac Div to provide a more subdued tune from their forthcoming project, Mania!, after hearing a string of uptempo, bass-heavy joints. And that's just what we have here with "Take Me High." While all three members do their thing spitting verses filled with references to weed, women, and Los Angeles, the true highlight of the track is its perfectly jazzy beat. Aside from providing a nostalgic, mid-1990s vibe, the production allows for a variety of deliveries. And the three MCs take full advantage of it as they move from laid-back flows to double-time spitting in no time. "Take Me High" might be the best track we have heard yet from Mania!, which is hopefully coming soon.
