What do you do with Ozzy Osbourne when he has a new album out to promote but you really want him to play a classic track from his back catalog? Jimmy Kimmel’s producers neatly sidestepped that question yesterday (Aug. 16) by having him perform “Fearless” from his latest album, Scream, and a version of “Crazy Train.”
Ozzy is in surprisingly great voice considering the wreckage caused by years of drink and drugs, although he’s a pretty stoic performer these days—basically rooted to the spot for most of “Fearless” and only becoming a little more animated for “Crazy Train.” But he manages to conjure up a mosh pit for the latter, which isn’t bad for someone about to celebrate their 62nd birthday later this year.
