Owen Pallett has solved his identity crisis with the release of the Heartland album, although his compulsion to take strange left turns and confound expectations by exploring odd musical avenues and matching them with eccentric visual flourishes has never been stronger.
This video for “Lewis Takes Off His Shirt” from the record is a case in point. Where else can you see a woman dancing with a bottle of soda, playing with knives and partaking in a game of Twister, while graphics that look to have been taken straight out of a clipart package whiz across the screen?
