Because they first played the song on TV way back in January, it's easy to forget that Okkervil River's I Am Very Far just came out this week. That song has been on rotation for five months, and the band is still playing it to promote the album, most recently on WNYC this week. It's a pretty subdued take this time though, since it's an acoustic take, with Will Sheff strumming out the riff and hollering the lyrics. At least it's different than the other live takes, but this sort of removes the power of the original. Still though; great song, good album. [A Heart Is a Spade]
