It’s possible the band will also be happy after this performance connects with a wider audience, because “Away FRM U” is a perfect distillation of a number of bands that reached beyond the indie-rock world in the 2000s. Think: one-part Vampire Weekend-style jauntiness, one-part Dirty Projectors-esque angular guitar thrum, and one-part Avey Tare inspired vocal whine.
