No Doubt were on American Idol last night in a clearly pre-taped musical performance, and while the band were more energetic than their performance on the Today Show last week, they're still showing considerable signs of rust, and Stefani is shouting more than singing at this point. There are some especially rough moments during "Just a Girl" where Stefani is out of breath and off rhythm, and the band is essentially just the backing band for her antics that they've more or less always been.
