“NEEDSUMLUV (SXLND)” (Prod. Machinedrum)

As we previously reported, Travis Stewart will drop a new Machinedrum project, the SXLND EP, tomorrow via Lucky Me. And on the release, you’ll find a mellow, slightly woozy title track that some might describe as yearning from some vocals. At least, Stewart’s sharp-tongued rapper buddy, Azealia Banks, clearly thought so.

She hopped on the instrumental and churned out what’s quite possibly her most accessible track to date. Gone is the explicit vibe of tracks like “212” and “Barbie Shit,” and in its place is pop-friendly harmonizing and catchy-as-hell vocals. Could this be a teaser of what we can expect from Banks’ upcoming mixtape? We’ll see. Stream/download “NEEDSUMLUV” below.
