Prior to hitting a barn to work on the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ third LP, Karen O has apparently been keeping busy by recording some bedroom tracks (now streaming at MySpace) under the name of Native Korean Rock & The Fishnets.

The songs are pretty lo-fi (complete with a lot of tape hiss) but they are more subdued and simple than some of the ear-splitting work Karen O does with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Karen O promises a pair of shows at Union Pool in Brooklyn tonight, and there’s no word on whether or not she has a backing band or not.
