Nada Surf: "When I Was Young"

Seemingly ageless Brooklynites Nada Surf will be releasing their seventh LP, The Stars Are Indifferent to Astronomy, on Jan. 24. "When I Was Young," the album's first single, is guitar-focused--first acoustic, then electric--and builds slowly. That said, the song doesn't really start to move until about 1:35. From that point until the end, "Young" employs harmless melodies and cotton-soft vocals. It's available as a free download here, and you can stream it below as well. [RS]
