My Brightest Diamond took to a rooftop in mid-town Manhattan to do a few cuts off their recently released second LP, A Thousand Shark’s Teeth, for Pitchfork TV’s Don’t Look Down. In this performance of “Golden Star,” frontwoman Shara Worden dominates the proceedings—she stands in front of a string quartet, delicately plucking out reverb-heavy guitar lines. There’s another few tracks promised for tomorrow, and you can only hope that Worden realizes the ironic possibilities of doing “From the Top of the World” on a rooftop. [Pitchfork]
