My Brightest Diamond: Feeling Good (Nina Simone Cover) (Stream)

Today's Dark Was The Night stream brings us a rather faithful cover of Nina Simone's "Feeling Good" by My Brightest Diamond. Frontwoman Shara Worden does a solid job of hitting the evocative runs that Simone perfected on the original, and her band is pretty good at smoky jazz, as evidenced on the latter half of the song. "Feeling Good" is streaming today (January 22) only, so go here to hear it.
