This unlikely collaboration between Muse and the Streets, leaked online earlier today, pays surprising dividends. For one, it helps each party limit their excesses. Muse, whose tendency to go huge limits its recorded material while making its live shows some of the best in the world, are served well by Mike Skinner's low key sass. Skinner, on the other hand, has the benefit of Muse's musical chops and sense of funky melody to prevent flatulent music detracting from his skilled rapping. As for the whole product, it's a surprisingly good track that sounds like something of a smarter, less angry Rage Against the Machine track. An unlikely collaboration has produced an unlikely success.
The streets ruined what could have been a great song

This rules ... Muse is probably the best band in the world so even with an average rapper like Skinner it's still a good song !!

Fantastic song. Really catchy and great beat. But this guy sounds BAD. Ew - horrible lyrics. Ooh some really great guitar at the end. And the guitar DOES sound like RATM. I can hear something like Vietnow in it. Oh dear. I hate to say it, but this is one of the worst musical collaborations ever. In my opinion.

Neither's best work. Probably not the best collaboration... Anyone judging either The Streets or Muse off of this track would be robbed, because they would be missing out on two amazing musical ventures.

This was a brilliant collaboration! Muse is the best band right now, and The Streets is a really good artist (yes it is one guy). For all you Streets haters listen to the song Dry your Eyes, it will make you want to cry!
Could have been interesting.. but that's just a boring song

I can honestly say that RATM is my favorite band of all time, and Muse is my favorite band currently making music. Let me first say that this is a DELIBERATE try at mimicking Tom Morello's amazing guitar techniques; I must say Bellamy did a damn good job, this sounds like a cross between People of the Sun and Maria. Finally, I'll state the obvious: PLEASE DO NOT EVER RUIN YOUR MUSIC AGAIN BY PUTTING LAME ASS BEASTIE BOYS WANNABEES FROM THE UK OVER YOUR AMAZING INSTRUMENTALS...YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED MUSE AS YOU COULD HAVE USED THIS TIME TO PUT OUT A SONG THAT YOUR FANS WOULD ACTUALLY APPRECIATE. thanks
whoa. that was weird.
