Mos Def: "Quiet Dog" (Live on Letterman) (Video)

I venture to say that Mos Def's performance on Letterman last night was the first time a rapper ever rocked out on some timpani on a late night show. Mos performed "Quiet Dog" from The Ecstatic last night, maintaining the rock on two timpani, backed up just a DJ and a drummer. I'm hoping he does something similar with the Roots tonight when he's on Fallon's show.
