A clash of the square-jawed men occurred on Lopez Tonight on Wednesday (Dec. 9) when Morrissey appeared as one of George Lopez’s guests. The former Smiths singer is probably just glad to get out of Europe, where he’s endured a torrid time of late during bouts of touring to promote the B-sides album Swords.
Morrissey chose to keep that theme going on Lopez’s show, where he performed “Don’t Make Fun of Daddy’s Voice,” which ended up on the deluxe edition of the 2004 album, You Are the Quarry. It’s an odd choice of song, and certainly nowhere near his best, but Morrissey was probably just relieved not to end up getting hit by anything or insulted by anyone.
