“Monarchy Of Roses”

Just five days after they released the visuals for lead single “The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie,” the Red Hot Chili Peppers are back with a new cut from I’m With You. Like its predecessor, “Monarchy of Roses” also bursts into a stadium-status, fist-pumping chorus. But where it differs is in its gritty approach to the verses, which are surprisingly thick with distortion, drums, and bass. The same goes for the shrieking guitar solo breakdown, something that offers us hope for the remainder of I’m With You, which drops Aug. 30.
