We’ve been teased about Mogwai’s concert film Burning before, in this short trailer that offered little information about the film other than it was going to feature the band playing very, very loudly. No surprise there, but now we have this new trailer (above) which offers a more expansive view of the film.
Burning was shot over a series of shows played by the band at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, and was directed by Blogotheque genius Vincent Moon and Nathanaël Le Scouarnec. The movie will be released in June, and will be accompanied by an already announced live album titled Special Moves.
Looking forward to this, obviously. Beautiful stuff. (And this trailer alone reminded me how good Mogwai is.)
