Mogwai: Burning (Film Trailer) (Video)

Vincent Moon, who is responsible for some of the best music video work on the web via the Blogotheque site, has teamed up with Scottish post-rockers Mogwai to make a movie. The film is titled Burning, and was directed by Moon and Nathanaël Le Scouarnec, who captured the band playing live.

This beautiful trailer doesn’t give much away—it’s short, in black and white, and is artfully shot. These are all familiar touchstones from Moon’s work, but make a snug fit for the boys from Mogwai, who gently sway in near-silence in this clip before letting loose their trademark wall of distortion.
