“Mobbin'”

Having built a nice buzz this year with the release of his KILT mixtape and plenty of high profile guest features (namely on Wiz Khalifa’s “Bout Me,” E-40’s “Function” and LoveRance’s “UP!”), Bay Area MC on-the-come-up IamSu! averts his attention to a new mixtape, $uzy 6 $peed.

Releasing Nov. 10 in partnership with Live Mixtapes and streetwear brand Pink Dolphin, the free project gets its first spin today in the form of the heavy 808-driven, bass-churning “Mobbin.'” While the title may point to another thug record (like rap needs another of those, right?) the song is actually a youthful approach to encourage people to git up, git out and git somethin’ (word to ‘Kast).

“It’s raw and energized,” says Su! “And from that energy, and what I’m saying, I want people to go out and get what they want in life—money; a college degree; a new job.” We second that. [SPIN]
