Following Prodigy's release from prison, he and Havoc, the other half of Mobb Deep, have been working in the studio with producer the Alchemist. We heard the first result of their sessions last month via "Love Y'all More," which served as a thank-you letter to their fans. While that track, particularly its heart-warming sentiments, was good and all, I think Mobb Deep fans were awaiting grimier street anthems from the Queens duo.
You know, like "Dog Shit," which features them reuniting with Nas since their mini-beef in the 2000s. But any drama they had in the past has been put aside for this gritty track made for the "grand goons." It's definitely a sign of good things to come from Mobb Deep and their hopefully in-the-works follow-up to 2006's terribly disappointing Blood Money.
