It was only yesterday that we heard the first new verse from Missy Elliott in what seemed like forever when she appeared on the remix of Katy Perry's cringe-worthy "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)." And now we get a some more new music related to Misdemeanor. Her gigantic 2002 single, "Work It," has been edited by New York City's Nicolas Jaar, a 21-year-old dude with an equal penchant for electronics and Latin rhythms. And he's injected both into his take on "Work It" while slowing down Missy's vocals a touch to give them a pseudo-screwed effect. The end result is one of the better things you'll hear today. Well, that is, of course, if you decide to hit pause on your copy of Watch The Throne.
You can stream the "Work It" rework below.
