Miles Anthony Benjamin Robinson

You Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere (Stream)

It’s fitting that up-and-coming folker Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson covered Bob Dylan during his Daytrotter session, considering Robinson is sure to get compared to (early) Bob, as nearly every young singer songwriter with a Martin guitar does.
Robinson and his band tear through “You Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere” one of the better cuts from Dylan and the Band’s The Basement Tapes. Robinson gives the song a more intense fervor, sounding slightly like the Boss, and even adds an out-of-tune acoustic guitar solo near the end.

Robinson’s self-titled debut is out now via Say Hey. [Daytrotter]

I told a few of my friends about this guy... unfortunately, I think I got his name wrong in a different way each time.
