Chicago may have birthed a crop of "trap" rappers of late, with names like Chief Keef, King L and Lil' Reese all reppin' the Windy City, but it's also home to a few new traditional MCs. Take Mikkey Halsted, for example, who tends to his recently-released CASTRO mixtape to give his No I.D.-produced, Cocaine 80s-featuring "Pain" cut its visual certification. The clip, which is directed by Alex Wesseley and IPW, gives fans an insight into the struggling city Mikkey knows. Look out for the Common cameo, too.
Released Aug.13, CASTRO features further appearances from Pusha T and BJ The Chicago Kid, and is available to download for free here.
