The first new song from the upcoming Michael Jackson film, This Is It, has been released. The movie will feature rehearsal footage for the proposed run of 50 shows in London that Jackson was due to play, and is set for release on Oct. 26. The clamor for anything Jackson related is likely to ensure some sizable box office figures.

“This Is It” is a mournful mid-tempo ballad that will tap into the outpouring of grief that continues to flow in the wake of Jackson’s demise. There are allegedly over 100 unreleased songs by the singer in the vaults at his label, Columbia, so “This Is It” is likely to mark the beginning of a long posthumous career.
