The exploitative era of Michael Jackson's musical legacy continues strong with this new video for his "Hollywood Tonight," one of the half-baked songs on his posthumous Michael album. The clip is like a subverting of the "Welcome to the Jungle" video, in that we follow a country hick as she navigates Hollywood's dance culture, before becoming the first G-rated stripper of all time. Then she's in a stage show about a dancer who loves Michael Jackson, and that's inspirational, I guess. If you're 10. But still; I guess there are people out there who'd like more to clutch than an LP of Thriller, so this is for them.
Andrew, What a weird, smug, callous and meaningless review. I don't think the songs on the album are half-baked, I love them even though I'm sure MJ would have made them much better. Anyway, believe me, I'm not 10 years-old and I enjoy the Hollywood video. How old are you - another one of these guys who is in his Twenties or Thirties physcially, but 14 emotionally?
