The Danny Brown-assisted, Harry Fraud-produced "Spaceship" isn't the only gem MHz Legacy, the Def Jux collective comprised of RJD2, Copywrite, Jakki Da Motamouth and Tage Future, have hidden on their brand new self-titled debut album.
Commencing with the familiar true school hip hop chant, "Wha-wha-wha-wha-one two, one two," lead from there by an off-kilter drum loop and later laced with Nintendo-esque tones, the leftfield "Yellow + Blue" also warrants plenty of spins. Los Angeles-based lyricist Blu joins MHz on the mic, but unfortunately they couldn't find a rapper called Yellow to complete the cut (yes, lame humor is a forté of mine).
Released on Tuesday, the MHz Legacy LP is available to purchase on iTunes.
